The required quality of PROFIsafe products and systems highly depends on the quality of the know-how of the development teams and on the deployed methods and procedures. An adequate range of trainings can assure this level.

 

This advanced-level workshop is aimed at developers and managers who already have prior knowledge about functional safety and safe communication protocols such as PROFIsafe (e.g., by having visited the "PROFIsafe Designer Workshop- Basic"), or who have already implemented or are implementing PROFIsafe on their devices. Special attention is paid to answering all your detailed questions. 

     

Experts having attended all two parts of the workshop will receive an official confirmation of participation for the Advanced course.

Contents:

  • The PROFIsafe protocol in detail: PROFIsafe document landscape, communication error model according to IEC 61784-3 and its implementation in the PROFIsafe protocol design, advanced PROFIsafe features (Parametrization in Run, Security, wireless communication, passivation granularity), history of PROFIsafe and protocol versions
  • Functional Safety: overview of the most relevant IEC and ISO standards, EU machinery regulation, design processes, calculation of key metrics
  • Implementation of PROFIsafe devices: the PROFIsafe Starter Kit in detail (one channel vs. two channel architecture, integration with device firmware), parameters, GSD, details on test and certification, tool calling interface, iPar Server
  • Even more time to answer all of your questions

  

Please note: The workshop is conducted over two days. Both days together constitute the complete training, and participants are expected to attend all sessions.
